Mobile Monitoring Friday Morning

Monitor your servers, iPhone applications.
A year ago Microsoft reviewed Pingdom in TechNet. The function is providing Administrators with awareness in knowing if a service is down, an administrator must know this first hand.

Today they are giving away free accounts and the product has improved, the iPhone app is amazing at the point having a Verizon BB Storm I am having iPhone envy.
Free accounts give the benefit of monitoring a single server to get a taste of what they have to offer. Monitoring from a frequency range of every 1 minute to 60 minutes and letting you custom tailor the types of monitoring on the servers.
I don’t work for pingdom but I highly recommend that engineers and technology experts take a look at this product. http://www.pingdom.com

Another similar product I discovered recently which I think is newer and focused more on granular details of sys performance from a mobility user level is Server Density, http://www.serverdensity.com. I wouldn’t rank one better than the other, I think they are somewhat different products and offer a wide variety of services.
