Windows 7 Desktop Deployment – Imaging

Windows 7 has completely revamped AIK in the latest release. One of the most notable improvements involves the Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool (DISM).
DSIM is a command-line utility and is backwards compatible with all previous image versions.
Some of the more common tasks that can be performed through DISM include adding, removing and enumerating packages and drivers. The bad news is that there is no GUI to manage the services.
DISM can be acquired directly from Microsoft, a free download.
